Bruce C Youngblood left this life to live with the King on September 12, 2009. Bruce was with his loving wife, Ruby Clark, at his side when he departed this life. Bruce was born on July 5, 1951 in Detroit Michigan to James Matthew and Oretha Henrietta (Dozier) Youngblood. Bruce had one brother, Kenneth Reno Youngblood. He was educated at St. Gregory High School, University of Detroit-Mercy, Washington University, and University of San Francisco. He was fluent in French, was learning German, and knew Latin. He was a life-long learner. Bruce married Ruby Clark of Stapleton, Nebraska on August 18, 1979. There were no children born, but the home was always full of animals. Bruce and Ruby were also always involved in the mentoring of the children in the churches they attended. Bruce had worked in the semiconductor industry at various companies for 30 years, most recently as a Quality Engineer at Freescale Semiconductor. He was a natural teacher and could make hard concepts easy to understand. Bruce was a kind and generous man and made lasting impressions on people when they met him. He was always the gentleman and his habits harkened back to a time before technology had a foothold in society. Bruce was the spiritual leader in his family and ensured that Daily Devotions and prayer timer were done on a routine basis. Bruce used God’s Word as a foundation for his life and marriage. Bruce loved his ‘children’. There was always at least one cat in the family and he made sure that strays always had food, water, and medical care. He enjoyed watching his ‘sons’ at Dog Shows and was always the proud father, whether they won or not. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents. Bruce is survived by his wife, Ruby Clark, his brother Kenneth Reno(Charlene) Youngblood of Colorado Springs Colorado, sister in-laws Freda J Moore - Sterling Colorado, Carol J Clark (Gary Warner) - Stapleton Nebraska, Betty J (Randy) Anderson – Orange City Iowa, Mary Ann (Eldon) Nausbaum – Casper Wyoming, nephews James Reno Youngblood, Joshua Anderson, Benjamin Nausbaum, Duane Nausbaum, and nieces Gabriella Youngblood, Breanna Anderson, and Tanya Nausbaum. A Memorial/Celebration Service was held on Thursday, September 17, 2009. It was held at Desert Springs Church in Chandler Arizona with Pastor Brad Davis officiating. Pallbearers were Jeff Chan, Steve Salatino, Bill Yellig, Jim Bird, Greg Hale, and Jathan Gerdes. It was a time of sharing stories and remembering who Bruce was: a man of God. Bruce has left many friends behind. He would not want you to grieve, but to celebrate. Bruce lived his life as full as he could and knew the best was yet to come!
