| Roger joined Inmos from Durham University MSc. Course in 1989 and worked on H1 project until late 1991. Electing to leave Inmos (and the electronics industry) in 1991 he moved to Aberdeen and forged a career in offshore oil and gas production. Spending 28 years mainly working for BP on several NorthSea projects and latterly in Oman, Mauritania, Senegal & Egypt. He retired from paid employment in 2021 and now follows his interests in music, hill-walking, cars & renewable energy projects. He and wife Lynn look back fondly on time with Inmos, socialising with a great bunch of people in and around the fantastic city of Bristol. Updated March 2023. |
